Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world.
Bi-monthly events are scheduled where women can come together for an evening of learning, fun and fellowship. Childcare is made available when requested. Each event is planned with four ideals in mind
*that it be Intentional
*that it create Community
*that it be fun
*that it will be Encouraging or Edifying for all involved.
This year we have hosted the Women’s Spring Tea, Created Water Wise Terrariums and learned about drought tolerant plants, had a cookie baking party, hosted the Women’s Christmas Dinner, Beachin' Bunco and attended Girls Night Out (a wonderful evening at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church held four times a year).
There is also 4 bible study circles that women attend. They meet in the home and each group is different. Find the one that is right for you. It is often said that a circle sister is a wonderful friend, and confidant. The first to pray for you and with you. Each circle is a wonderful support for those attending.
